This role is responsible for the Banking operations organization and ensuring Spendesk Financial Services (SFS) delivers a world-class service for its clients(e)They work closely with the CEO of SFS to set the right KPIs and ensure a robust execution.
This person is responsible for the SFS Service Level definition, its delivery and monitoring(e)This person is very customer centric, and relentlessly driving service improvements while managing the SFS operational budget(e)This person will be able to create the organization that drives these continuous improvements and always seeks for excellence.
This person is an organization builder.They will build, develop and nurture teams, their processes and tooling to reach operational excellence as the company rapidly scales-up.
This person will collaborate closely with the product, compliance and partnership partners to ensure alignment of objectives and ensure the SLA of new services when released to production.
About the Work :
Operational Excellence
- Defines and owns the SFS Operations SLA; setting and delivering against OKRs and KPIs in support of company goals, accross all geographies.
- Works with the CEO to define the SFS operational strategy and objectives, deeply aligned with the SFS OKRs and roadmap.
- Contributes to company-level strategy considerations (operational impacts, GTM constraints...).
- Own the operational budget of SFS, and ensure continuous efficiency improvements, to maximize the customer value.
- Monitor the day-to-day operational risks and raise critical risks to the attention of rest of the organization.
- Will work closely with the Head of Engineering to ensure the SLA of the SFS IT infrastructure.
- Will work closely with the Head of Partnership to ensure the SLA of existing critical partners, and assess the quality of new ones.
Operational Design
- Lead the development of robust and efficient operational processes, tooling, and resource plans to maximise impact and reduce business risk in the Banking operations.
- Collaborates effectively with Product leaders to prioritize back-office improvements in support of the most reliable and efficient processes.
Leadership & Communication
- Recognised by cross-functional teams as an inspiring leader within the company
- Will effectively manage stakeholder communication across the entire company and within the executive team.
- Communicates compellingly to an internal audience of any size, increasing alignment and momentum for the company.
- Sets the standard for quality and frequency of written and verbal communication.
- Supports team members as needed, providing valuable "translation layer" to cross-functional and executive stakeholders
People Management
- Builds and manages a team of Operations Team Leads.
- Raises the quality of work for the entire Operations team, through mentoring and training.
- Consistently demonstrates conscious management of team members: developing TLs and ICs and supporting them on their career paths.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in Operations Management in a SaaS company, ideally a Financial Institution.
- 3+ years of experience hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and managers.
- 3+ years of people management experience
- Proven ability to navigate complex, technical, cross-functional environments
- Experience building and scaling robust and high availability operations.
- Experience building and developing operational processes while scaling the impact of the overall organisation as it grows.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in both English and French
- Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and projects, with a strong attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to dig in to complex topics.
- Critical thinking/analytical leadership experience.
- Experience presenting to senior executive audiences.
- Experience in building/leading SaaS or mobile products.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or related field.
