Founded in 2017, Ovrsea is a new generation freight forwarder that uses technology to simplify and optimize international transportation for companies(e)We support more than 600 companies such as Engie, Vinci, Devialet, Sézane or even Nuxe in more than 60 countries in their international freight transport.

We allow our customers to manage all their transport issues in a few clicks from our web interface, from quotation to invoicing, by digitizing the entire transport tracking experience(e)We have also developed an in-house platform to facilitate the operational management of our customers' transports in order to best meet their needs in record time.

The year 2021 has been strategic for Ovrsea: Since January 2021, we have joined forces with the Bolloré Group to accelerate our development and we have recruited 50 people.

2022 promises to be an even more challenging year with the recruitment of 100+ people, the opening of 4 new international offices and thus expand on the international market! Moreover we plan to triple our revenue for the third year in a row.

The Finops Team :

The Finops team objective is to set processes that make our financial operations more efficient.
This goes beyond the Finance department, by driving Sales, International Development and Operations teams to integrate economic and financial factors into their operational processes and practices.

We have the privilege of building new financial processes in a market that is not very digitalized and complex(e)We therefore aim to provide the same innovative mindset than other teams at Ovrsea, and the challenge is extremely interesting !

The team's challenges in 2022/2023 :

Put in place new processes and best practices, notably concerning suppliers (terms negotiation, create reporting of DPOs…) and billing (accelerate invoicing, reduce the risk of errors…)
Help the International Development team in the financial aspects of new international offices
Create new reportings to give more visibility on main finops KPIs (DSO, DPO, credit risk net exposition…)
But also, improve already existing processes : accelerate debt collection,increase credit risk protection ..(e)and many others!

What is it like being a Finops Manager at OVRSEA ?

Finops Managers are both managing their entire perimeter, and they also put in place new processes(e)Some projects directly concern Finops processes while others might include the Sales, Operations and International development teams.

Reporting to the Finops team, managed by Hugues, our VP Finance, and Suzanne, our Lead Finops, you will work on all kind of finops projects in coordination with Lolla, who is in charge of debt collection projects.

Your assignments will be divided into 3 parts :

Process management (50%) :

Manage existing financial process, notably those in relation with external counterparts (banks, credit risk, factoring…) and contribute to their constant improvement
Create new reporting tools to give visibility on your results and on the global Finops team performance

International Expansion(30%) :

Help build a clear roadmap on the the financial needs linked to the opening of new offices, in collaboration with the International Development team
Manage the concrete implementation of efficient Finops processes in new countries

Project Management (20%) :

Propose and contribute to developing new processes and financial transformations in collaboration with the relevant teams within Ovrsea (from Sales and Operations concerning operational impacts to Product and Tech concerning delivery)
Ensure the good implementation of those processes in the long term

🔎 Who are we looking for ?

  • You have 2 years of experience in financial operations, corporate finance or project management of financial processes
  • You have a good understanding of financial processes and are used to working on excel and/or google sheet
  • You are rigorous and autonomous
  • You are able to work with various stakeholders from different backgrounds
  • You like to find insights & solutions using your analytical mindset
  • You are curious by nature, and are never satisfied with the answer “we’ve always done it this way”
  • You can speak and write French and English fluently(e)Another European language is a plus
