Context
The Experience Design team is part of the Tech department at ManoMano, together with Product and IT teams.
Currently, almost 15 designers and user researchers are working together in order to design and deliver best-in-class products & services to our users & customers, and support business growth ambitions.
We are looking for a Senior Visual Brand designer to join the Experience Design team and contribute to spreading our brand identity through ManoMano’s products and services in order to ensure a consistent and remarkable brand experience.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience expanding, leading, and implementing visual design vision. Additionally, the candidate will possess an exceptional ability to collaborate across large teams and pitch/evangelize ideas as part of a larger-scale creative framework.
This role reports to the Head of Design.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a consistent brand experience that serves our brand’s purpose, business missions and customers needs by improving the look and feel of our digital products
- Transfer our brand’s strength through the interfaces of our website and apps in a way that is attractive, engaging and convenient for our users
- Generate clear ideas, overall concepts and designs of creative assets from beginning to end
- Analyze market trends, stay in the loop and on top of the latest trends in visual design field in order to formulate visual brand strategies that satisfy the needs of our business.
- Clearly communicate and articulate the “why” of visual brand design decisions in order to influence your stakeholders and build consensus
- Contribute to building, maintaining and improving our Design System
- Ensure the bridge between brand communication and design teams by fostering the relationship between brand strategy and design
- Work collaboratively with brand team and other designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user-experience.
Expected skills & experience
- 5+ years of experience as a brand designer, visual designer or similar role, working on websites and apps.
- Proven experience designing strategic omni-channel experiences at an agency or technology company.
- A thorough understanding of the right balance between business, design and our users
- Fluent in brand, marketing and design principles and best practices.
- Hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, accessibility principles and more.
- A demonstrated ability to communicate and align vision with internal stakeholders and an intended market.
- Deep familiarity with design principles, methodologies and best practices including user-centered approaches.
- Proficient use of Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma.
- An understanding or previous experience designing/working with Design Systems
- An understanding of how design impacts development and a knack for constructing delightful designs that are technically feasible.
