About the role
As a Data Engineer Lead you will role model our standards, always(e)Constantly raising the bar when it comes to expectations of yourself and others, with a willingness to roll your sleeves up to get the job done.
You will be curious, with an ability to get into the details(e)Never following trends, but always acting based on what is right for Ogury(e)Speed matters here(e)Decisive action-taking and being comfortable taking calculated risks are key to prepare us for the future.
What you will be doing
- Maintain and improve our ELT pipeline (Airflow + dbt).
- Maintain our data warehouse (Redshift).
- Drive excellency and software craftsmanship within the team and across the organization.
- Identify, design and implement solutions for data processing and governance(e)Current key areas of improvements include: (Streaming data, End-to-end data documentation and Self-service analytics.)
- Hold discussions with engineering as well as business stakeholders and prioritise projects and tasks.
- Focus on the roadmap and ensuring it is balanced between business-oriented projects and infrastructure-oriented projects.
About you
- Extensive experience in as a Data Engineer, or Software Engineer.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL and experience with a cloud provider (AWS preferred), with strong experience modeling data warehouses and building data pipelines
- Experience with Airflow and dbt, with a keen sense of data as a product and how it can serve the company
- A real Team-player, curious, always eager to improve our current tools
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal as the team is spread across France and Belgrade.
- Experience with CI tools (Jenkins preferred) and Terraform and Kubernetes is a bonus!
