Introduction to the Team & Role
360Learning is growing exponentially, with thousands of people joining the collaborative learning revolution every month(e)Our users are already generating millions of events every month(e)This requires our technical teams to build and continuously scale our data architecture to sustain our growth ambitions(e)In addition, our data pipelines are getting increasingly complex as we invest in our AI and analytics capabilities, which are sophisticated data consumers(e)In that context, we are looking for a Data Engineer that can become a key player in our Engineering strategy around data acquisition and processing to deliver more value to our customers and internal users.Joining a new team, this is an opportunity to build the data infrastructure of a hypergrowth company, having a lot of autonomy on your scope(e)Your fellows will help you achieve this objective.
What you'll do
Within 1 month, you will:
- Become a Trello expert through our onboarding process
- Meet and get fully onboarded into the Artificial Intelligence Squad
- Meet the Data Team, Architects and DevOPS to get familiar with our tools and processes
- Meet all other teams at 360
- Get to know our Convexity culture
- Get acquainted with our company tools and processes
Within 3 months, you will:
- Help to build our stack to maintain data pipelines to ensure ML engineers, Product squads and BI users have access to robust data pipelines
- Start working with the AI Squad on projects like Search and Recommendation
Within 6 months, you will:
- Participate in making the data platform more resilient
- Work closely with the data consumers and the data analyst to collect their needs and make the data platform evolve based on new use cases
Within 12 months, you will:
- Fully maintain and monitor the data platform
- Collaborate with the data team on new projects to strengthen 360Learning analytics abilities
- Participate in new projects like BI for clients
The Skillset
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in data engineering designing, developing and optimizing strong and flexible data pipelines
- You have a great ability to learn, and you are eager to expand your areas of expertise
- You have working knowledge of stream processing and distributed data systems - deeper experience is a strong plus
- You’ve already worked with highly scalable data stores (Data Warehouse, data lakes, ElasticSearch etc.)
- You have advanced Python and SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems into concrete, manageable components trying to pick up the most simple and efficient solutions
- You are used to managing different types of interlocutors while exposing technical & business problems
- Strong listening skills: open to input from other team members and departments
- Fluent English (US/UK) / B2 level or equivalent (FR)
