We are looking to grow our Affiliate Partnerships team within Klarna Media and Advertising solutions! Therefore, we need a Partnerships Associate who will take on a hybrid role across our affiliate partnerships and affiliate marketing campaigns within the South of Europe region! The role will involve daily management of affiliate networks and online direct partnerships to grow our affiliate revenue and profitability. This role sits within the Business Development competence as it requires strong negotiation and sales skills, but requires a great degree of marketing acumen. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support teams or lead innovative affiliate marketing campaigns to achieve merchant goals, as well as follow up with next campaign suggestions.
  • Be a part of all aspects of the campaign process, including media planning, schedule and asset management, research and analysis.
  • Be a proven negotiator, working to increase merchant commission rates and tenancy investment in return for exposure plans.
  • Comfortable pitching and discussing Klarna’s affiliate program in depth to further engage merchants. Competently showcase clients our media offering and maintain in-depth product knowledge of our publishing landscape and future plans.
  • Work cross-functionally with the co-marketing (Partner Marketing), advertising and analytics team to continually improve success metrics related to campaign performance.
  • Understand ad policies to maintain a high bar for all content.
  • Work autonomously to meet campaign milestones and respond proactively to unforeseen challenges.
  • Drive development and execution of specific tactics and activities with cross-functional teams. 
  • Work with advertising measurement tools and liaise with the analytics team to continually improve success metrics related to affiliate marketing campaign performance.

You should have:

  • Good experience in affiliate marketing and/or e-commerce in a similar role, from agency, network, publisher or merchant side.
  • 2-3+ years of commercial account management experience, preferably in a B2B setting.
  • Experience in managing complex partnership projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Experience of affiliate revenue management and optimization.
  • Experience of tracking tools for online marketing.
  • Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English as well as Dutch and/or French.

You might also have:

  • Experience of working in a - fast-paced startup environment, larger company with a strong entrepreneurial culture or a company with a strong brand track record.
