We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer (m/f) based in Suresnes or Nantes (or flexibility on remote work)(e)You will join Talend R&D department and will part of the Talend Pipeline Designer team.

Talend Pipeline Designer is a web-based self-service application which allows to design, orchestrate, and preview data pipelines, in batch or streaming, directly in a web browser with an easy, visual UI(e)

The runtime behind Pipeline Designer scales with native support for the latest hybrid and multi-cloud technologies and improve productivity with real-time development and debugging(e)It leverages the Talend runtime based on Apache Beam and Apache Spark and are built using Java & Scala, JavaScript and React(e)

How you will make an impact:

  • Build and develop applications in the Pipeline Designer scope (Pipeline Designer and Control Flow)
  • Be deeply aware of the development activities in the R&D department and work with architecture and engineering teams to be sure their work is coordinated with the overall product architecture and vision;
  • Cross-team communication and expectation management (we are part of a large ecosystem so cross team collaboration is an important part of the role.)
  • Support the product owner in technical refinement of stories and sprint preparations by helping clarifying technical requirements and providing qualified feedback and estimations(e)
  • Knowledge sharing & mentoring of junior members.

The next team member should have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in development
  • Strong knowledge in highly-availability and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments
  • Strong knowledge in Java, Spring, microservices using REST API, Kafka, Git
  •  Having experience or interest in Scala language would be a plus since we will maintain Scala services for a while
  • Experience using CI solutions(e)Knowledge of Jenkins / Kubernetes / Helm would be a plus
  • Knowledge of one of the Cloud providers environments (Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform) would be a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication
  •  Fluent professional English (written and spoken) as well as strong presentation skills
