As Head of UX, you will be responsible for building, leading and growing our UX Design team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct a team of user experience staff including multi-disciplinary designers and user researchers at various management levels
- Provide functional strategy, structure, and planning in alignment with Executive leadership strategy and goals
- Cultivate relationships across the Software R&D organization, the broader R&D organization, and Product Management as well as with Finance, Procurement, and the Global Software Organization
- Champion the design culture within and outside the business
- Distilling qualitative and quantitative feedback to unearth recurring themes and promote data-driven design decisions
- Lead the way on all team hiring, reviews of performance, handling of any performance/ disciplinary issues, and necessary restructuring as the team’s scope expands and work advances
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of combined UX Design and UX Leadership experience
- 5+ years of experience scaling design teams in a fast-paced environment
- Deep expertise in the user experience design process, agile software development methodologies, and product development lifecycles (SaaS experience is preferred)
- Strong facilitation skills and experience employing a variety of methods and techniques to run complex design-led workshops
- Deep expertise in journey and service mapping, storytelling, product design, problem framing and solving design problems
- Proven communication skills across all levels of leadership, management, and staff in complex, global, matrix organizations.
- Strong relationship building, influencing, and negotiation abilities with cross-functional and executive stakeholders
