Algolia was built to help users deliver an intuitive search-as-you-type experience on their websites and mobile apps(e)We provide a search API used by thousands of customers in more than 100 countries(e)Billions of search queries are answered every month thanks to the code we push every day into production.

We are looking for a Senior Front-end Engineer to grow our Search Platform team(e)It is an autonomous product entity with a clear mission: Empower search owners to implement, configure and manage the best search configuration for their use case and see its impact on their business(e)Team members have different skill sets, covering the full stack of our search offering, from the Core Search Engine to the front-end Dashboard and Analytics of our customers(e)Your experience, your knowledge and your perspective will add value to this diversity, and help the team deliver products that make a difference. 

 

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

      • Architecture, design and develop on the search scope of Algolia’s Internal and public Dashboard
      • Take ownership, research, explore and deliver world class experiences
      • Drive improvement of the search and discovery experience
      • Be a technical mentor and help the team grow
      • Help define engineering best practices and processes

 

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:

      • Good knowledge of JavaScript (ES5, ES6), TypeScript, the DOM, HTML, CSS
      • Experience with at least one of the following frameworks: React, Angular, Vue.js or Ember.js(e)We've invested heavily in React so it would be a plus.
      • Rigor in high code quality, automated testing, and other engineering best practices
      • You have an eye for great user experiences (UX) and UI design skills
      • You have experience with npm, Yarn, webpack, Rollup, Lerna
      • Excellent spoken and written English skills are required
      • Experience at our current stage and beyond ($50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure).
