Background

Algolia’s customers, specifically in the Commerce space, ask us for guidance in their Algolia implementations and to get value of their Algolia investment(e)While we provide services packages through the CMSs, Solution Architects and CSEs, there is not enough strategic guidance and a Search and Discovery POV that is provided to Algolia’s customers to get the most value of their investment to provide them a path to success and maturity.

Vision

The SME Services team is the Search and Discovery Center of Excellence within Algolia’s Customer Success organization.

Our mission is to standardize best practices in the Search and Discovery space for wide scale adoption and provide thought leadership and direction for Customers, Partners and Internal teams on Algolia’s implementations(e)This team will collate and disperse learnings and knowledge from Product, Solutions and Customer Success teams to be leveraged for customer implementations, partner knowledge and internal delivery services teams.

The Services will be provided to both prospects, during Sales cycles and current Algolia customers.

We also liaise with R&D to provide thought leadership in the Commerce and Merchandising areas.

YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:

  • As a business consultant, you will be responsible for delivering value to Algolia’s clients through the deployment and use of the Platform and Products
  • You will be supporting clients in the implementation and optimization phases with business strategy.
  • You will be a key advisor for clients regarding e -commerce, analytics, data management, digital marketing, marketing automation and emailing + mobile technologies
  • You will responsible for building strong relationships with clients by bringing continuous improvement to their business, maximizing utilization of the platform and improving their KPIs/ROI
  • In collaboration with Customer Success Manager and Sales teams you will be responsible for developing business strategy and a roadmap with clients as well as aligning with them on relevant business goals and critical metrics
  • On top of the overall knowledge, you will become an expert in chosen part of the platform in order to lead and advise clients and internal stakeholders in a given topic of expertise
  • You will play a pivotal role in clients’ onboarding, platform adoption and product features utilization
  • You will be collaborating with various internal teams to build services focused around the product and contribute for internal process improvement

YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:

  • Experience in the following sectors/fields: Search, online analytics, data science, A/B testing, personalization, campaign optimization, customer lifetime value, e-mailing automation, reactivation, attribution modeling, prediction, product recommendations, e-commerce
  • Knowledge of ecommerce business and business trends, and the ability to understand clients’ business models and adapt consulting approach accordingly
  • Excellent consulting skills: clear written and verbal communication, presentation skills, confidence in dealing with business users and stakeholders at all levels of seniority, exceptional organizational skills, proactive problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations in a proactive, goal-oriented, and highly professional way
  • Proactively maintain the highest level of expertise by deepening your knowledge of the Algolia’s platform and solutions through internally and externally available learning opportunities, as well as self-study
  • Preference for candidates with experience at our current stage and beyond (over 10,000 customers, $50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure).
