About the role
We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer who is passionate about designing and building robust software solutions with quality in mind(e)
You have a track record of leading successful and impactful technical and product initiatives across the business(e)
Your deep technical expertise primarily resides in backend engineering domains(e)Your strong technical leadership and communication skills mean that you are confident leading all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design/architecture, execution, deployment and maintenance alongside Engineering managers and tech leads.
Your high quality work creates significant and lasting impact on the business and engineering goals, as you consistently support the growth and success of the engineering organisation.
Your outlook involves contribution to the strategic vision with a 1-2 year horizon.
What you'll do
- Own, implement and facilitate improvements and the evolution of our Backend systems, quality tools and methods, in order to establish a future-proof platform.
- Lead by example through the development lifecycle, while maintaining strong quality standards and enabling your team to meet their commitments.
- Design, as well as review designs, of deliverable components across all squads.
- Support the growth of engineers through peer programming, code reviews, mentoring and coaching.
- Help decompose complexity and challenges of distributed and event driven systems, and guide others to make the right technical choices.
