To follow Qonto's ambition in terms of data we created the Data Department, handling Data Analysis, Engineering, and Science. The data department has grown from 5 to 30+ people within two years (and we're still hiring)!
Within the Data department, the Data Products Team (12+) is an applied machine learning (ML) team with a focus on delivery.
As a Lead Data Scientist - Fraud/Risk Team, you will be collaborating closely with Simon, our Senior Lead Data Products(e)You will lead and grow the Fraud/Risk Team in charge of the fraud detection and risk scoring models at Qonto(e)
The Machine Learning systems you’ll release will interact with every transaction within our payment institution: this is one of the most challenging and high-impact machine learning issue in our sector as a FinTech company.
???? As a Lead Data Scientist - Fraud/Risk at Qonto, you will:
• Recruit, build and manage a team of 3 to 6 applied Data Scientists
• Foster collaboration with Engineering and Product leads to define a vision and strategy for your team
• Work hand-in-hand with Fraud, Risk & Compliance stakeholders
• Drive the delivery of your team to reach business objectives
• Ensure high quality by establishing and using the best engineering practices
• Hire the best talents to build a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture
• Orient and support your team through regular feedback, 1:1 sessions, pairing sessions, mentoring, and quarterly progress reviews
• Design, build, test, document, run, review and maintain production code in Python
• Support a critical service used by tens of thousands of users on a daily basis
