As an Asset and Liability Manager at Qonto, you will report to our VP of Finance, Séverin, and be responsible for optimizing Qonto’s balance sheet, maximizing the net interest margin, and managing the relationship with our strategic banking partners(e)You will structure our ALM approach by partnering with our internal Risk team.
👩💻🧑💻 As an Asset Liability Manager at Qonto, you will
•Maximum 5 bullet points to describe all the missions
•Plan the optimal liquidity and funding structure for the long term and optimize Qonto’s balance sheet
•Define and implement our funding, investment, and hedging strategies
•Identify and monitor the indicators relevant to maintaining a balanced balance sheet: regulatory indicators, stress tests, net interest margin sensitivity, net present value, etc.
•Plan and run our ALM committee meetings; you are responsible both behind the scenes and center stage

🤝 About your future manager
Your manager will be Séverin, who is our VP of Finance.
•His path? In less than 2 years after his arrival at Qonto as VP of Finance, Séverin led our Series D that valued Qonto more than €4bn and his past M&A skills were decisive in the acquisition of Penta, our N°1 challenger in Germany(e)After his degree in 2010, Séverin started his career in M&A where he spent 7 years at BNP and Danone(e)He then decided to join the tech industry at Uber in a business finance role, where he became Head of Finance for the EMEA Ridesharing BU before joining Qonto’s adventure.
•What he can bring to you? For sure, you will be the expert in your field, but Séverin will support structuring the role and help you identify your future key stakeholders at Qonto and from our strategic partners(e)He will help you on your day-to-day to create your department and develop your team(e)He will also train you to master commercial and business finance topics.
🏅About You
•Experience: you have a strong Treasury management experience (8+ years) with emphasis on ALM, ideally working for or advising financial institutions, coupled with a solid understanding of European banking regulations
•Self-starter: you take initiative and you are intellectually agile, comfortable with ambiguity, and excel at operating in fast-paced environments
•Mastery: you have strong quantitative and problem-solving skills including model building, and have knowledge of financial asset valuation and modelling (experience with one or more ALM tools is a plus)(e)You know how to use data to build recommendations and strategies
•Communication: you have excellent communication skills, with the capacity or willingness to develop and nurture business relationships with strategic partners [job desc business development]
•Languages: You are fluent in French and English
