To support our growth, we are recruiting a Backend Engineer for our Cloud Platform Services team in Nantes or remote in France(e)
Talend Management Platform is a project where we develop micro services eg(e)Identity & Access Management, Logging, Security, Metrics collection services etc(e)which can be consumed by all Talend applications and products(e)You will work in a polyvalent team in charge of building and running heavily used services.
You will work on a freshly Kubernetized application(e)The technologies in use are Java 11 (soon to be 17) & Springboot(e)It uses Docker, Kubernetes and modern CI / CD technology(e)We intensively use tools like Pingdom, Elasticsearch & Prometheus to operate our services(e)The backends in use are Postgresql, Redis, Kafka and MongoDB.
You will work on:
- Designing, implementing, testing, and deploying micro services that are resilient and scalable;
- Helping with the maintenance and improvements of existing services and codebases
- Chosing the right technology in terms of storage, messaging, communication for different data services and also providing related tests (Test-driven development/Unit Testing and automation);
- Helping document the features, the processes and designs of all implemented solutions;
- Building High-Availability (HA) architectures and deployments;
- Working and communicating in a cross-functional geographically dispersed team environment comprised of software engineers, product managers, software test engineers, and product support engineers.
About you:
- Graduated in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience;
- First experience inin professional Java programming with RESTful, Message-/Event-Driven technologies, Multi-threaded applications;
- An understanding of distributed and cloud computing, incl(e)deployment related experience (ideally including Docker, AWS or Azure);
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English, both verbally and in writing;
- Team player, you believe in "Alone I go faster, together we go further";
- Self-motivated with strong organizational/prioritization skills and ability to multi-task with close attention to detail.
