Why is this mission so very important?
MadKudu is moving towards a self-serve model, to empower the customer in his MadKudu usage(e)He must be able to monitor and configure the product himself, without any help from someone from MadKudu(e)To achieve this goal, all the critical parts of the product must be translated into user interfaces, and the user experience must be uniformly excellent (beautiful, rich, and, above all, usable)(e)Think about Datadog's UI: this is what we want to have(e)To succeed in this mission, MadKudu needs great frontend engineers!
What does Engineering at MadKudu look like?
We're growing fast but we're still a human-sized company (35 people) which means you're joining a rocket ship right before liftoff ⚡️
We're across two continents and countries but the Engineering Team is located in Paris(e)It is currently composed of 8 engineers(e)Joining the team, you'll have the opportunity to grow alongside your colleagues and learn new things every single day.
We've built our application using
Node.js (with some chunks of Python) and AWS services and are constantly improving our stack to match our needs(e)We're big proponents of technology choices that maximize ownership, flexibility, and asynchronous work (continuous delivery, microservices, infrastructure-as-code).
We're working with some amazing customers, including some that you probably already know as an engineer: MongoDB, LucidChart, etc.
What will you be doing?
- Design, develop and release new screens and critical features on user-facing applications
- Lead and own frontend architectural decisions impacting the whole company
- Create and foster a frontend culture at MadKudu and help the team grow
- Assist designers in design decisions
Skills and experience
- Professional English proficiency (as we're an American company 🇺🇸)
- 2+ years of experience in frontend engineering
- Passion for creating value for customers and users
- Expertise in JS, React and web technologies (HTML, CSS, etc.)
- Ability to make and roll out architecture decisions
- Knowledge in UI/UX
- Ability to understand and communicate trade-offs in fast-paced product development
Bonus skills
- Experience working with startups, particularly in SaaS
- Experience with Typescript
- Experience on dataviz applications
- Experience deploying and monitoring production applications to AWS
- Deep knowledge of even-toed ungulates
