We are looking for an Engineering Manager (m/f) for our Talend Data Governance Platform team R&D team based in Nantes(e)This team provides shared services to support multiple Talend product teams(e)All these services must comply with the expected 99.9% SLA requirement. You will join and lead a team where everyone shares a common interest in high-scale distributed computing while striving for simplicity and speed of development(e)Together we spot, define, implement, and deploy the improvements and features required by the core services leveraged by many developers to build Talend’s products(e)Your work will let our customers take good decisions from their data.
What you'll do:
· Owner of the complete scope of the product team: Design with the Product Owner, Implementation, Quality and Cloud delivery with SRE teams;
· Lead an Agile development team to deliver high quality, robust product features and architecture changes;
· Selection, validation and introduction of new technologies into the product and to the development teams;
· Provide guidance for the development team in technical questions and continuous improvement of the code quality ;
· Work closely with your peers on product and engineering teams;
· Cross department communication with Product Manager, Support, Professional Services, Presales and others to provide technical and usage support to other departments;
· Promote the team's achievements and communicate the challenges via team metrics and dashboards that provide complete transparency into the delivery process;
· Be accountable for team performance and for delivering the technical and functional product roadmaps.
Who you are :
· BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience;
· 7+ years of experience in Cloud application development
· 5+ years in development team management or as a tech lead role
· Sound experience in management and team-leadership experience in an international development environment;
· Experience in software development (back end);
· Experience working on Agile software development teams;
· Experience in coordination of efforts in development, QA, build and support of your own software;
· Strong knowledge in highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments
· Strong knowledge of Cloud ecosystem & SaaS Application development
· Proven experience in object-oriented programming and related technologies: Java, JavaScript, React, REST APIs, Micro-services;
· Verbal and written communication in English;
· Team building and coordination skills;
· Experience working with an international team to deliver complex software solutions;
· Familiarity with standard dev tools: JIRA, GitHub;
· Result driven personality, high enthusiasm, energy, and confidence.
