We are looking for a Cloud Architect for our engineering centers in Nantes, Suresnes or Bonn to be a member of Talend’s Architecture Department which is responsible for architecture, design and governance of our Talend Cloud offering.
Responsibilities:
- Be deeply aware of the development activities in the R&D department and work with the teams to be sure their work is coordinated with the overall product architecture and vision;
- Work closely with the architecture and development teams to ensure the reliability and scalability of the architecture for AWS and Azure
- Work with teams to discover aspects of the team’s implementation that could be generalized and used in other areas of the company;
- Gain consensus on architectural aspects by providing written (including diagrams) and verbal presentations and working with the implementation teams to resolve concerns;
- Coding proof of concept (POC) implementations and reporting on those results;
- Facilitate communication across departments so that people are informed and working well together;
- Be aware of new technologies and how that might be applied to issues at Talend.
Skills and experiences:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience;
- Expert proficiency in a development language (Java, Python,…)
- Strong knowledge in highly-available and fault-tolerant enterprise and web-scale software deployments
- Solid knowledge of Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency in Kubernetes
- Strong interpersonal and excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Between 3 and 5 years of experience in Cloud architecture
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and interest in Big Data, Data Management, BI, API management, Database Administration
- Experience in working within a distributed & international agile team environment.
