We are looking for a cloud developer to integrate the Services Platform team. This team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying the core services & features supporting Talend Cloud.
We are looking for a new team member curious, searching for challenges, and willing to dive deep into various technologies such as Spring, Java, Docker… With the mantra “You build it, you ship it, you operate it” in mind, you would be part of the entire feature lifecycle from designing it to delivering to production.
The candidate should be familiar with the entire application lifecycle and technically skilled. Open-mindedness to the technical and the non-technical topics is also a must to challenge the status quo and make greater products.
Our services are written in Java using Spring Boot, communicate using either REST APIs or Kafka messaging, store data using PostgreSQL and MongoDB and run inside Docker containers executed in a Kubernetes cluster.
Key responsibilities
Production support (working hours)
Collaborating with other team members in investigating and resolving technical or performance issues and performing root cause analysis
Identify tactical and long-terms product improvements
Lead and contribute to the implementation of improvements
Evangelization of dev and QA team about production support best practices
Maintaining technical documentation
Skills and experience
BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
At least around3 years of practical experience in software development Strong Java
Willingness to work in a large organization
Knowledge and experience in Java, Spring and Docker
Ability to communicate smoothly, effectively, and clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
Knowledge about patterns and architecture to build solutions at scale
Nice to have
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB
Knowledge about Agile methodologies
