As an accounting apprentice, you will be the business partner of Hadrien, our Head of Accounting, Tax and Treasury, and Yassine, our Lead accounting, both in charge of accounting and bookkeeping.
You will also work closely with Tatiana, our Auxiliary accountant to ensure the economic reality of the accounting.
You will join a Finance team of 19 talented people (and growing) to help us succeed in our ambitious mission in a fast-growing and highly competitive environment(e)This is an apprenticeship contract based in Paris or a work-study for at least one year.
???? As an Accounting Apprentice at Qonto, you will
• Work hand-in-hand with the General accountant and our Auxiliary accountant to ensure the robustness of our actual accounting, and build a strong accounting process.
• Contribute to the preparation of Qonto’s monthly closing and help optimize the accounting process.
• Be the shadow of the Lead accounting as he performs his duties.
• Assist with research, filling data entries but also recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
• Work with bookkeeping software (SAGE 1000).
• Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
• Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.
• Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.
? About You
• Experience: You have 6 months of experience (including internships) in an accounting or audit firm or in an accounting department of SMEs.
• Mastery: You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and BI tools in particular), have an aptitude for math, proficiency with computers, and are detail-oriented.
• Team player: You are able to work strategically, and collaboratively across departments by building relationships across all levels and functions.
• Curious and proactive mindset: You should possess an understanding of accounting and financial principles as well as a positive attitude(e)You should be collaborative, trustworthy, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn.
• Academic Background: Must be a recent graduate or actively working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting
• Languages: You speak at least both French and English.

? Our hiring process:
- A 60 min video call with one of our Talent Acquisition Managers, to better understand your career plan and answer any questions you may have
- A 60 min video call with your future manager, to be aligned on expectations on both sides and to talk about how you would work together
- A remote exercise to evaluate your skills and give you a taste of what working Qonto could be like
- Video calls or onsite interviews with future team members (optional) to help you understand what working at Qonto is like
- A final video call or onsite interview with the manager of your future Department
