Location: Paris or Barcelona is preferred, but London or Berlin would also be an option.
Language requirement: English would be your working language and French would be nice to have but not mandatory for this role.

What will be your responsibilities?
Our mission is to provide core SaaS & HR experiences for other product teams and end users. 
You will be working in a squad whose mission is to empower HR, CEO, managers and employees to get work done effortlessly and wisely through Documents management, E-signature and creation of workflows. 
You’ll lead the global Design function across geographies and businesses(e)You’ll be in charge of defining and leading a performing design at scale organization; translating research insights from our customers & stakeholders into delightful product user  experiences(e)You combine strategic thinking and operational excellence.

Being responsible for the global Design function, you will:

- Establish the Product Design Strategy & Define the Roadmap(e)
You will work closely with the CPO, to whom you’ll report, and the product management teams to build the product strategy and define what it means in terms of design strategy, roadmap, and prioritization.

- Build the Team
You will manage a team of +30 designers, encompassing all elements of Design: Product Design, UX Research, Brand Design(e)You'll work with your team to optimize or change processes and tools they need to be efficient in their discovery and delivery work.

- Elevate What Design Means 
You care deeply about customers as well as your colleagues(e)You will have a strong design vision and imbue design thinking into everything designers and non-designers do at Payfit. 

- Drive the Brand Strategy
Work closely with the Marketing teams to understand what our brand means and infuse it into the details of every user interaction(e)Brand Design will be an integral part of the Design team as SMB and VSB clients require a customer-obsessed value proposition.

We are a fast paced organization that works on a complex topic (payroll and multiple services that all together encompass a HR solution of choice for Small Medium-sized Entreprises and Very Small Business clients, with a complex set of regulations impacting the product)(e)That means building fast, and that means trade-offs(e)You will always know how to prioritize to get the best of both worlds: radical growth that finds the right trade-off between business results and customer needs.

This job has been tailored for you if...

- You have already experienced Design-at-scale, with a strong product design background but also creative / brand design experience.
- You know how to empower and have managed teams of +25 designers, including managers as your direct reports. 
- You have a proven experience leading design efforts on successful, complex projects at scale.
- Collaborating with multiple mission-critical areas of a company and containing designers with specialized responsibilities.
- You know how to collaborate closely with other VPs and C-levels, especially Engineering and Product Management and Development 
- Ideally, you have already experienced both B2B and B2C environments.
- Experience with B2B software or services and a technology-centric career history(e)
- Extensive mastery of the most modern tools, with a strong understanding of when design teams should be using each tool(e)
- Ability to establish a Data Driven mindset within the Design team.
- Ability to consider long-term sustainability in all design decisions and maintain an eye for reusability in designs(e)
- Strong communication skills with a keen ability to share the best ideas and push for your beliefs with integrity and respect.
