Being a Senior Full Stack developer in <vpTech/> means to be a part of a distributed fully agile team of 4-5 engineers; to participate in the full-cycle IT production process from idea generation to roll-out, to support one of Veepee business directions: marketing, sales, logistics and warehouses, finance, HR; to contribute to the <vpTech/> community; not to stick to one technology and choose the one that solves the problem in the best way. As a Developer directly integrated into PEC “Product External Content”, one of our product teams, your main mission will be to develop and deploy high-quality applications within defined milestones based on business needs.
You work in an agile methodology led by OKR defined quarterly(e)You are value oriented and are enthusiastic to share your knowledge in a team and company that promotes continuous improvement.
In this context, we are looking for a full stack engineer in the PEC team, which recently became a part of Veepee and now they are collecting external data to make it available to the group. You will work very closely with the product owner but also with QA, SREs, Architects.
Job Description
- Within the "Content Production" tribe the PEC "Product External Content" product is a major player in the collection of data outside the company, and its exploitation(e)The product operates a state of the art scraper tool to collect product information from external sites, a search engine on product data, and algorithms to process product data for use in pricing engines, data sheet construction or in case of legal audit.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and design features for products
- Suggest on interfaces and other possible improvements that might be done
- Write technical documentation
- Keep the code clean and review your team members’ designs if needed
- Ensure the reliability and scalability of developed applications
- Respect the production deadlines
- Review the legacy code in order to avoid the production bugs
- Have an R&D mindset to proactively tackle security topics
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- Hands-on experience with one of the programming languages (Python, Php, React, TypeScript, Vue, Javascript, NodeJS)
- You assure the quality of your code with unit and integration tests;
- You have experience in building APIs or other web services;
- Requiring good problem solving skills
- You are result and product-oriented;
- Your English is good enough to discuss this job opportunity.
- Ability to maintain existing data management technologies and ETL
- Expertise in data science and/or artificial intelligence is a plus
