Purpose of the Role 
 
We’re looking for a Senior Brand Designer to join our multi-disciplinary creative studio.  
In this team you’ll share our mission of building a bold, distinctive brand identity(e)You will bring visual brand to life across the business, ensuring it is of a high standard and felt throughout the customer experience(e)The majority of your time will be spent creating commercially focused design work for our B2C growth marketing, but you will also be shaping our brand for the B2B arm of the business and our internal and corporate communications(e)This role reports directly into the Studio Lead, while working hand-in-hand with stakeholders across the business to find the right solution to briefs. 
 
You will have considerable experience working with (and developing) brand guidelines, taking core brand elements to generate highly effective creative assets in a variety of formats(e)Using type, layout and photography you’ll find the right combination to any given project. 
 
With a strong background in digital marketing and an understanding of industry standards, you will have the confidence to suggest and test new ideas(e)Combining this knowledge with a passion for creating elegant design, you will continuously search for opportunities to improve outcomes. 

Responsibilities

  • Bring creative from concept through to delivery using a range of working methods
  • Promote high standards of design through stakeholder management and processes 
  • Increase the efficiency of creative delivery through innovative ways of working 
  • Work directly with stakeholders from multiple teams to develop andpitch creative ideas 
  • Work with the content team to find innovative answers to briefs 
  • Build strong relationships with the teams across the business to ensure our product is always presented at its best 
  • Work with the Studio Lead and other members of the Creative team to inform and develop Trainline’s creative brand direction 
  • Where there is an opportunity, find areas to optimise assets through creative testing and experimentation, balancing the need for brand consistency with enhancing performance 

Knowledge & Experience

  • A strong portfolio of predominately digital design work 
  • Highly skilled user of Adobe CC (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects) 
  • Experience using Figma or Sketch 
  • Experience building and developing a visual brand and its guidelines 
  • Experienced at delivering creative solutions and assetsfor a variety of digital formats (motion and static, paid and organic social, display advertising, email, landing pages,DOOH, presentation decks) 
  • Previous experience designing for specific performance marketing channels(e.g.Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Display)and understanding of best practice 
  • You have previously worked directly with marketing teams 
  • You have managed your own time against requests and can give accurate delivery expectations against set briefs 
  • You are able to see your design work within the context of the ‘bigger picture’, selecting the most appropriate solution in response to a given task 
  • Evidence of strong stakeholder management skills with a background in building productive working relationships across multiple teams 
  • Experienced in following art direction guidelines and selecting stock photography 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others 
  • Excellent attention to detail 

Bonus points for..(e)

  • A working knowledge of HTML5, or experience in delivering files ready for handover to HTML5 development 
  • Evidence of a working in a test and learn environment 
  • Previous experience designing for the App and Play Stores
