To sustain the company's growth, Ledger is looking for a new talent to lead the embedded applications development team, which is one of three sections composing the Firmware Engineering team.
The applications for our hardware wallet products include cryptocurrencies support as well as key management and security protocols (like PGP, SSH and U2F).
They are:
- Implemented in embedded C and in the medium term, in embedded Rust as well
- Tested with Python or JS
Missions:
- Technically lead a team of 3+ people
- Synchronize, prioritize and ensure the deliveries of the team’s activities
- Contribute to developments and continuous integration of embedded applications
- Contribute to innovation (for instance new cryptocurrencies, security-related applications)
- Synchronize and support our third-party developers community
Main interactions:
- Manager of the Firmware Engineering team for direct reporting
- OS part of the Firmware Engineering team for SDK evolutions
- Security team for software vulnerabilities analysis and corrections
- Product team for the team’s activity synchronization and requirements prioritization
- Ledger Live team for activities synchronization within the Ledger B2C ecosystem
- Customer Success team for end users issues analysis and corrections
- Third-party embedded application developers for support and issues analysis
Requirements:
- Required - Diploma in Computer Sciences, Engineering or related discipline
- Required - Excellent communication skills and ability to summarize
- Required - Management experience of a small team of engineers
Technical requirements:
- Required - 5+ years of Embedded C software development
- Preferred - 3+ years of Python software development
- Preferred - Applied cryptography general knowledge
- Preferred - Interest in software and hardware attacks and their countermeasures
- Desired - Rust software development
- Desired - Blockchain interest and/or knowledge
