BuyBack is Back Market’s trade-in service and its key asset to close the loop of the circular economy(e)

Working as a reverse C2B marketplace, it connects consumers willing to sell their used smartphone, tablet, gaming console or audio product with professionals willing to buy it(e)It aims at changing customers’ habits towards used devices by making it easy and lucrative to resell them, while creating supply for the professionals selling on Back Market.

Reporting to the Head of BuyBack and Logistics, you will be in charge of driving the service growth globally, to turn it into the leading trade-in program worldwide.

Managing a team of 7 people (and more talents to come), you will define BuyBack strategy, drive its growth in its core markets (France, Germany, the USA) and expand it to new markets and new categories(e)

You will own the P&L, establish targets, build roadmaps, coordinate marketing investments and run operations(e)Working hand-in-hand with the Brand, Marketing, Supply, Quality and Product teams, you will be in charge of developing a service that’s key to differentiate Back Market on the refurbished market.

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): ?

Establish Back Market as the leader of the online trade-in in all its markets and categories & expand it to new markets, categories, channels
Define an ambitious vision for BuyBack, as a driver of our customers LTV and of our sellers sourcing
Partner with the business and the product teams to execute this vision, with full Profit & Loss responsibility
Manage the team and communicate at the company level on the performance

You’re At The Right Place if :⭐

You have a minimum of 10-years experience, including at least 7 years in the e-commerce industry with a strong track record at leading e-commerce projects
You have management experience and have work in an international context
You have an excellent business sense & negotiations skills
You have strong communication skills and an unmatched ability to create team dynamics
You are willing to participate in building a very strong brand, by influencing the core DNA of Back Market brand and adapting it to the strategic bets
You have the ability to launch new projects by getting your hands dirty to foster our positioning in the circular economy
You have a strong understanding of the refurbished electronics business environment, and what’s needed to lead Back Market to success globally
