Founded in 2016 by Jean-Charles Samuelian and Charles Gorintin, Alan is the first digital health insurance in France since 1986.
Alan's long-term goal is to make personal, proactive and holistic health part of people’s daily life, striving to be the world’s most member-centric healthcare company.

Missions
Alan is on a mission to transform healthcare. In the Finance team, we are a small and lean team (3 people, including the CFO), thinking out of the box and with automated and optimised processes.
We are looking for :
- a junior profile (could be out of school)
- with good knowledge in programming (python/JS/SQL)
- with basic knowledge in financial processes and accounting
- eager to extend and build our finance tech stack to help us reach our next steps : supporting our international expansion and our new group structure.
Detailed missions
- Support Alan expansion by extending our tools to our new countries (Spain, Belgium and soon more) and new entities.
- Work closely with and support other crews to give a financial view on various topics and support the set up of new payment processes.
- Take part in the preparation of the 2021 Budget and the development of our Financial planning and analysis monitoring.
- Contribute to the day-to-day administrative tasks.
Key outcomes by 1 year
- Our finance tech stack is extended to new countries and entities
- Our finance tech stack is maintained and documented
- Alaners and communities have a seamless experience to contribute to or get data from our financial data lake.
- Profile & competencies
You would have also supported the CFO and other Senior Alaners by either owning and delivering on a high-volume and broad range of topics or acted as project coordinator to strategic company project (M&A, fundraising, budget planning etc...).
Doing so, you will interact with most of Alan’s communities.
Skills
Hard skills
Programming: Good knowledge in Python, JS and/or SQL : ability to extend an existing codebase (not to write from scratch); ability to write SQL queries
Financial process and accounting: Basic knowledge in French accounting and daily financial processes.
Soft skills/ Behavioural traits
Ownership
We handle topics that involve numerous stakeholders and that are vital to the company(e)We are therefore looking for someone able to 1/own his/her topics to make sure they are heading in the right direction; 2/knows when to call for help and 3/ is not shy of calling for support
Teamplayer
The Finance team is small (5 people), we therefore need someone who can prioritise between his/her topics and the Finance team / the Company’s priorities.

Communication
We often handle topics with tight deadlines and/or where multiple stakeholders are involved(e)Over communication is key to delivering.
Profile
- Major in Management, Finance or double degree Engineer & Business
- Bac+5 (Master 2) graduated from Master Degree
- Has realised at least one internship in Finance or Data
- Any experience at a top tech/Fintech/Banking/Advisory/Audit/Insurance company would be valuable.
- Some evidence of interest in tech and the start-up/entrepreneurial world through internships, side projects, or choice of options at university
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English(e)All our communications are written and in English.
French fluency preferred but not required.
