The data team has 3 missions:
- Fight against frauders (spammers, phishers, payment abuse) to project our users
- Help our clients to leverage their data with AI
- Make the data accessible to everyone at Sendinblue to help them to take the right decisions
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data pipelines and data jobs mainly developed with Apache Beam, Apache Airflow and Meltano
- Construct and lead data architecture vision of Sendinblue
- Increase the reliability of existing and future data jobs through testing, containerization, orchestration and monitoring
- Improve the data quality through automated data quality monitoring
- Contribute to data modeling and architecture during the conception and development of new projects
- Understand and help data scientists and data analysts in their missions
- Collaborate with all the teams: product, customer care, finance, marketing, corporate, sales, developers, Devops
- Have a "Data as a Service" approach to let everyone leverage the data
Our technical stack : Python, Airflow/Composer, dbt, GCP (Cloud function, BigQuery, GCS), AWS (Redshift, S3), MongoDB, Dataiku, Tableau
Requirements
- You have a strong experience (2-5 years) working on a large Python stack;
- You have experience with Java stack
- You know how to implement and consume APIs
- You love making clean code and you are interested in having successful software engineering practices (Unit tests, pair programming, code reviews).
- You would like to help the team to grow in the quality of what they produce and their methodologies;
- You have experience with setting up CI/CD pipelines
- You have experience working with microservices and Kubernetes
- You are willing to learn data engineering concepts, tools and frameworks (Apache Beam, Apache Airflow, dbt)
- You have experience working with AWS (Redshift, S3)
- You would like to work with Google Cloud Platform (Bigquery, Cloud function, GKE, GCS, Dataflow)
- You know or want to learn Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
- You are a strong team player
Profile
- Excellent educational background with a Master degree in Statistics, Applied Math, Data Science, Engineering
- At least 2+ years experience in data engineering
- Advanced knowledge in SQL, ETL coding, data storage tools (on premise and in the cloud)
- Experience working with development workflow : agile, git, test, deployment, monitoring
- Good ability to design different data architectures to adapt to a variety of requirements
- Effective communication with both business and technical teams
- Ability to defined business questions and translate them into clearly defined technical/data specifications
- Excellent English and experience in a multicultural environment - another language will be appreciated such as French
