The role

Joining our Corporate Sales team based in our Paris office, you will be responsible for finding and closing new businesses across France and Southern Europe(e)This will be done via your own efforts and supported by our marketing, partnerships and sales development teams.

You will be engaging with stakeholders within the customer to identify and secure a role for GoCardless as a payment provider(e)This will involve working with various departments, from finance and engineering to marketing and procurement; building a business case; securing a commercial arrangement; and ensuring a successful delivery(e)Our business model is aligned with the success of our customers: their success in getting paid links to our rewards.

Our customers are domestic and international companies who need to take recurring payments(e)In order to navigate a path to mutual success you will need to develop a good understanding of our solution, the business value, and technical fit and its relationship to our customers’ existing systems.

Desired Skills

We’re looking for people who want to have an impact and are always trying to learn and improve themselves and the operations around them(e)The ideal candidate wants to lead and is ready to deal with the ambiguity present in fast growing environments and new markets(e)By evangelising GoCardless and recurring payments, you are able to get customers excited by our product.

  • Sales experience in a B2B SaaS environment with a track record of success with companies turning over between $30 & $800m pa. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A strong new business oriented mindset
  • Evidence of repeated success within complex solutions and exceeding quota.
  • Experience selling to CxO and other stakeholders.
  • An understanding of MEDDIC/ MEDDPICC Sales methodologies (or similar) and experience in applying them. 
  • A structured sales approach and experience with Salesforce.com.
  • High activity: you are able to cover a large territory effectively and build a dynamic pipeline.
  • Fluency in French and English is required(e)Other European languages in addition are welcome.
  • A consultative style and the ability to become a trusted advisor.
  • Experience selling APIs is not essential, but nice to have.
  • Experience of the fintech industry is also nice to have.
