Founded in 2017, Ovrsea is a new generation freight forwarder that uses technology to simplify and optimize international transportation for companies(e)We support more than 600 companies such as Engie, Vinci, Devialet, Sézane or even Nuxe across 60 countries in their international freight transport.
We allow our customers to manage all their transport issues in a few clicks from our web interface, from quotation to invoicing, by digitizing the entire transport tracking experience(e)We have also developed an in-house platform to facilitate the operational management of our customers' transports in order to best meet their needs in record time.

Since January 2021, we have partnered with the Bolloré Group to accelerate our development(e)We want to double the size of our workforce and have already recruited 50 employees in 2021(e)By the end of 2022, we want to open 3 new offices internationally and thus expand on the international market !

The Finance Team
Our Finance team is a Business partner to other department, implied in strategic planning and decision(e)Its role is also to guarantee the reliability financial data and indicators to monitor our activity, to report our activity to the management and shareholders, and to be responsible for the cash management day-to-day.
The team is composed of 3 sub-teams :
- FP&A : Responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, financial communication, business analysis
- Accounting : In charge of ensuring the quality of our historical data(e)We will internalize accounting from March 2022.
- FinOps : Deals with cash management and financial processes and excellence (invoicing, cash collection, risk management...)
The team's challenges in 2022 :
- Internalization of accounting
- The internationalization with an opening of subsidiary in the US, Spain and Italy and more
- Expansion and structuring of the team
What is it like being a VP Finance at OVRSEA ?
If you join us as VP Finance, your role will be to lead FP&A (strategic planning, budgeting, financial communication to shareholders), financial operations (cash management, processes) and accounting.
These teams are already in place, so you will be responsible for managing and growing them(e)Today, the team consists of 4 people : Camille, in FP&A, Carole, our Accounting Manager, Lolla, our Financial Officer and Benjamin, our Finance Intern.
You will work directly and report to Mathieu, our founder and CFO, who also manages HR and legal.
Your role
Your assignments will be divided into 3 parts :
? Manage all 3 Finance sub teams and help them reach their goals and improve (60%)
- Manage the 3 existing teams, of already 4 experienced professionals in FP&A, Accounting and FinOps.
- Help them recruit new profiles
- Help them improve by making the level of expectation always higher
- Set up goals for each team and be accountable for their delivery
? Prepare our structure for being international (20%)
- Set up the processes for handling multiple countries in terms of accounting, cash management, reporting, financial operations
? Bring expertise and structuration (20%)
- Bring financial expertise and be an individual contributor on some specific subjects such as M&A and financing
- Set our financial organization for scale and success
- Provide long term strategic and financial planning
? Who are we looking for ?
- You have a strong background in finance
- You have between 6 and 10 years of experience in very demanding environments
- You have a strong technical and financial background in leading financial organizations
- You have experience in managing international teams
- You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and are able to think and work outside of the box
- You have a natural problem-solving ability and excellent leadership skills
- You have a strong fit with our culture of care, excellence and pedagogy
- Startup and international experience is a plus
