The Search Infrastructure team aims at providing Search APIs for Algolia’s teams and customers to build products and implementations with best-in-class scalability, reliability and performance(e)A typical challenge the team faces is how to deal with multi-terabytes index sizes while keeping indexing time below a few minutes and search response time below scores of milliseconds.
We are looking for a seasoned Technical Program Manager to own the technical programs of the Search Infrastructure team, relentlessly and effortlessly getting things done within the team and for the team, largely impacting the core product of Algolia(e)This individual will partner closely with product management, engineering managers, other Technical Program Managers and with the executive leadership to execute and align on complex technical programs.
YOUR ROLE WILL CONSIST OF:
- Leveraging your technical expertise to lead technical strategy, planning, and execution with engineering partners
- Championing breaking out OKRs into measurable milestones while proactively managing risks, blockers, and delays
- Managing cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly
- Identifying gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches and weigh in on product vs technology tradeoffs
YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU HAVE:
- 6+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle from conception to delivery
- Able to collect, analyze and present data sets support project goals and initiatives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including clear articulation of business impact and technical constraints tailored to the audience
- Experience at our current stage and beyond ($50-200M ARR range, high growth, lots of change and building internal infrastructure).
