About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Counsel, Privacy to join our growing Privacy Team within the
Contentsquare’s Legal Department(e)This position will sit in our Paris office and will report
to the VP Digital Trust based in Paris.

As Senior Counsel, Privacy, you will drive Contentsquare’s global privacy program,
embracing and advocating our vision in Digital Trust and Data Ethics(e)You will provide
privacy related support and advice to various teams throughout the company to ensure
that our products and services as well as our internal activities are in line with such
Digital Trust and Data Ethics vision(e)You will work within a fast-paced, collaborative team
that value humor, initiative, and teamwork.

What you'll do:
- In partnership with the VP Digital Trust, provide advice to business partners
globally to address privacy risks on a broad range of Digital Trust and Data Ethics
matters while supporting customer focus and business growth;
- Provide business focused and pragmatic day-to-day privacy advice and support to
the relevant teams (Product, Marketing, HR,...);
- Drive and oversee our privacy compliance program with global data protection
laws and ISO 27701 requirements (processes and policies, record of data
processing activities, PIAs, employee training, privacy compliance program
communication, data breach response plan, audit etc.);
- Build and manage strong relationships with key internal stakeholders in order to
collaborate on our Digital Trust and Data Ethics vision (organize Committee
steerings, animate a network of Privacy champions etc.) ;
- Develop with the VP Digital Trust and the Contentsquare relevant stakeholders
strong relationships with the key regulators around the world and be part of
Privacy, Digital Trust and Data Ethics conferences
- Work closely with the Legal Commercial team on data protection agreements with
customers, suppliers and other third parties;
- Respond to internal and external privacy inquiries;
- Keep abreast of evolving data protection laws that may affect the company
globally;
- Manage a growing team of 2 junior privacy counsels (based in New-York and
Paris).

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Knowledge, skills, & abilities:
- Working proficiency in English and French;
- Being a privacy business partner;
- In-depth knowledge of global data protection laws, including GDPR, e-Privacy
directive, CCPA, as well as data protection authorities guidelines and best
practices on cookies and marketing;
- Passion about transparency, UX, Legal design, Digital Trust and Data Ethics;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a very good sense of humor;
- Strong analytical skills with a creative and pragmatic problem-solving approach;
- Ability to thrive in fast paced environment;
- Ability to work independently and autonomously, as well as team player mindset
with ability to collaborate across all functions (in particular Product, Marketing,
Sales and HR departments);
- Ability to communicate with impact and influence with various audiences of all
hierarchical levels;
- Being creative and inventive;
- Being able to anticipate and participate in the future of Privacy, Digital Trust and
Data Ethics.

Minimum qualifications:
- Master 2 degree in relevant law (IT, data protection law);
- At least 5 years of relevant post-qualification data protection law experience in a
law firm, in-house legal department or at a data protection authority;
- Experience in managing a privacy compliance program and drafting/negotiating
data protection terms in commercial contracts.

Preferred qualifications:
- Academic or working experience with global privacy framework;
- IAPP (CIPP/E, CIPP/M) or another privacy certification;
- Previous experience in a scale-up and/or in a tech company;
- Experience with a regulatory authority is a plus;
- Familiarity with international working environment;
- Familiarity with cookies and similar technologies regulations;
- Ideally, management experience, including experience in managing remotely.
