This position can be remote.
Doctolib is looking for a Senior ML Engineer to help our teams grow the base of 150,000 healthcare professionals who use Doctolib every day and 70 million Europeans who visit our sites every month, and to offer them an outstanding user experience.
The Data Science team is currently organized in two parts:
- Delivery teams: teams of data scientists working closely with the business and product teams(e)They are integrated into the product/business teams to understand their needs and design the best data science solution.
- Scaling team: team of ML engineers / data scientists, devops and software engineers setting up processes and tools in order to allow data scientists to put their models quickly into production and to scale data science across Doctolib(e)They also take care of the proper operation of the models / algorithms in production.
Important point at Doctolib : the data is entirely encrypted and anonymized.
Your mission
On a daily basis, you will be required to :
- Support, mentor and assist delivery teams throughout its development in producing clean, consistent and well-organized code(e)Ensure that the work follows the team's best practices,
- Work with DevOps / DataOps in order to automate the building, testing, training, validation and deployment of models in production(e)Continue improving the scalability and robustness of our platforms,
- Work with software engineers to develop components to quickly deploy models in production(e)Collaborate closely with Engineers to find innovative solutions to technical challenges,
- Investigate, detect and prevent issues in production,
- Continuously improve the quality, reliability and scalability of our code base,
- Support the building of MLOps processes in the data science team(e)Foster collaboration and emulations between data scientists around those topics(e)
Our stack
- Our code is written in Python
- Our servers live in AWS
- Our machine learning models are built on AWS Sagemaker
- Our data is stored in S3 and AWS Redshift
- Our services are deployed to Sagemaker using Docker
- Our data capture tool is AWS Kinesis
- Our infrastructure is terraformed
- Our ML pipelines use AWS StepFunctions, AWS Lambda and AWS Sagemaker.
And any other tool you deem relevant!
Your skills
You could be our next teammate if:
- You have 5 years of higher education / engineering school with a major in statistics / data science / computer science
- You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position
- You are proficient our core languages : Python / SQL / Shell Scripting
- You have a significant experience in Machine Learning
- You have a significant experience in AWS infrastructure
- You have good knowledge on MLOps best practices
- You have previously used MLOps tools (monitoring, CI / CD…)
- You have an excellent sense of results and respect for delivery deadlines
- You are fluent in French and English
- You have a good team spirit
- You are curious and enjoy learning new skills and taking on new challenges
- You are well organized and have a strong sense of initiative
Now, it would be fantastic if:
- You have experience in deploying models client-side with frameworks like TensorFlow.js
- You are familiar with Terraform / Docker
