OVERVIEW

Backmarket is working with 1300+ sellers worldwide that can be sorted in 3 main categories :

- Refurbishers They are refurbishment experts operating industrial facilities(e)They are geared up to perform complex refurbishment activities at scale and have internal quality processes.

- Traders: They buy, they control, and they sell(e)They don’t operate industrial facilities and their main challenge is to purchase high quality batch of products upstream with minimal required actions prior to shipping.

- Brand and Retailers: they mainly sell returned products from their brick-and-mortar shops and/or their direct ecommerce website.

We’re looking for a Senior Lead Product Quality to join our Innovation Lab and help our sellers reach the highest product quality level possible, bringing the defective rate of refurbished products close to the one of new products.

Based in our office in Bordeaux, you will work in strong collaboration with the Quality Control Team, responsible to monitor the quality of our seller portfolio across all markets and categories, and the Supply Team, owning the relationship with the sellers.

YOUR MISSION (IF YOU ACCEPT IT): ?

Build a robust Product Quality Plan (PQP) ensuring the consistency of quality metrics across all markets(e)PQP will include the following control points (not exhaustive):

- Incoming Quality Control

- In-line Process Quality Control

- Outgoing Traceability control etc.

Assess the maturity of our seller portfolio and adapt the PQP to the typology of seller and the category of product

Support PQP implementation by focusing on worst offenders with high volume of product and high defective rate

- Build tailored action plan

- Ensure the delivery of this action plan

- Track benefits

- Communicate on the ROI of the PQP to drive more adoption

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE IF: ⭐

10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations working for a top tier electronics manufacturing company
Deep knowledge of QA processes and tools, result oriented with a data driven mindset
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, features and risks
Deep knowledge of the best tools and software to deliver the highest level of aesthetic and functional quality for refurbished electronic goods
You have an entrepreneurial mindset: you are open-minded, a team player, and have a strong bias towards action
You can think out of the box to find innovative solutions to help our sellers reach industrial excellence
You are an enthusiastic person with good communication skills who like to share his/her passion about refurbishment and BackMarket’s mission
