About the role
Within the freelance tribe, you will be in charge of the Malt Freelance application (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.malt.app), and you will participate in the development of the mobile part at Malt.
As a Senior android engineer, your missions will be
- Design the future features of the application in close collaboration with the development team
- Maintain and improve the existing code base
- Ensure the quality of the code to keep the application as stable as possible
- Be a source of ideas on the features to be developed and how to implement them, and also bring UX ideas to obtain the most pleasant experience possible for the user
- Share your knowledge and experience with other developers
Preferred experience
- You have a degree in computer science (engineering school or equivalent) and at least 5 years of experience in mobile development on Android.
- You are comfortable with native development in Kotlin and you are familiar with our technical stack: MVVM, Livedata, Coroutine, Koin, Retrofit, ...
- You understand the principles of a REST architecture and how webservices work
- You like to collaborate with UI/UX designers and have the ability to integrate their most beautiful creations into the application based on mockups via the Figma tool.
- You care about the quality and stability of the application and you understand and contribute to the maintenance and evolution of our continuous integration tools: Bitrise, Firebase App Distribution, ...
- You are used to working in an agile context, and have already participated in some of the rituals that make up this way of working (demos, retros...)
- Curious and autonomous by nature, you love to propose ideas for improvements to the product you are working on because you want to be proud of the application available to our freelancers.
And above all, you like to share your knowledge and work in a team.
- Screening with Fatima, our Tech Talent Acquisition Manager, to better understand your background, aspirations and answer your questions (45 minutes)
Interview with Benoit (VP Engineering),and Fabien (Engineering Manager) to discuss your experience and the role in more detail (60 minutes)
- Technical Home assignment to prepare and Debriefing with two members of the Engineering Team in order to evaluate your hard skills
- Final interview with a C-Level to discuss Malt’s long term vision
