What you will do

Kpler’s Inventories team is owning one of our key products - storage of commodities.

The Inventories team goal is to unveil the hidden(e)Through a combination of drone data, satellite images, and external sources, coupled with a layer of machine learning, we provide users global coverage of how much liquid is stored in which tank & underground facility, as well as who owns it(e)The team delivers both the final information as well as the means to map, ingest, and process the images & data sources.
As a Product Manager for our Inventories team, you will be at the central point between Technology, Business and Design(e)As such, you will create and own the roadmap, working hand-in-hand with the Tech Lead and the developers of the team(e)Your focus will be, among others, to maintain high-level standards for the maturing Inventories product as well as to find and bring to life new opportunities. Note: This role will be remote-first working from the United States, with a preference to be based in New York, or Houston. 

 Your missions

Here’s what you will do AND learn to be successful in this role
Develop a deep understanding of Kpler platforms, models and customer needs
Learn and communicate to the engineering teams the customer needs for the inventories market
Manage and prioritise the requirements backlog to fit business needs in your crew/squad
Create a product vision, a roadmap, and drive product announcements
Follow the product governance best practices and agile methodologies
Assess competition trends and functionalities so to stay competitive
Engage customers at various levels of an organisation to ensure the product fits the demand
Participate in the prospection and evaluation of business or technology partners
Develop internal and external product training plans
Communicate the value proposition of any new feature developed
Work with the sales and customer success teams to push the adoption of the product 
Collaborate on the product pricing with the Business Development team,  based on market research, development costs and anticipated demand
Represent the company at various technology or business events
Coach and mentor your team members and the rest of the organisation.
Never stop learning and sharing 

Preferred experience 
At least 3-5 years work in Oil & Gas/ Energy / Industrial background looking for a move into product management(e)Experience in Product Management is a plus
Interest for data science, especially in imagery topics
Strong communication skills
Team player and quick learner
Native or bilingual in English
