We’re looking for an ambitious, talented and commercial-driven personality to join our existing Commercial Finance team in Hamburg or Paris.
Your responsibilities:
Within the Commercial Finance Europe team, you are driving central tasks and projects, working closely with the team leadership to monitor and steer the European operational business
- by conducting cross country and other ad hoc analyses to understand and benchmark the performance and positioning of the eleven European countries that FREE NOW operates in
- by preparing the central reporting on our financial performance at the destination of the FREE NOW Senior Management and Shareholders
- by supporting the team in managing key Commercial Finance processes such as forecasting and budgeting
You optimize our internal tools and processes
- by managing a project to harmonize financial processes (budgeting, forecasting, reporting) across all countries
- by building standardized financial models (in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets) for strategic projects as well as financial steering
- by further exploiting and developing the existing commercial and financial data sets (in Tableau, Tagetik, Navision and Infonova) for reporting and steering purposes
You’ll take an active role in shaping the positioning of the Commercial Finance team within the organization
- by participating in and maintaining a strong network with other departments
- by managing transversal projects with various internal stakeholders
Your profile:
- You’ve outstanding records of academic achievement in either the fields of Economics or any other field of academia + a corresponding advanced financial education
- You’ve 2-4 years of professional experience in the fields of Consulting, Private Equity, Controlling or Operations with strong financial focus
- You have a strong interest in complex financial modelling combining Excel manipulations and business orientation
- You have evidence of strong financial, analytical and business modelling skills(e)Excel has no secret for you
- You’ve an intuitive understanding of what drives a business model and the ability to validate this using commercial and financial data
- You’re very well organized and capable of leading multiple processes in a structured way
- You’re adapting quickly to new situations and bring natural curiosity to understand business specific challenges and potential solutions
- You’re able to communicate complex ideas effectively in English
- You’re a team player who is comfortable working in cross-cultural teams
