Your Mission
We are looking for an Android Engineer to join us on the development of the BlaBlaCar Android app(e)
You will work on technical challenges and product feature developments from the early conception meetings, development and test strategy, to deployment in the Play Store, to the monitoring the adoption of new releases.
By joining the Identity Squad, you will be part of a team which today consists of 8 Frontend Engineers and 1 Engineering Manager, 1 Product Manager, 1 Quality Engineer responsible for enabling seamless management of member accounts and ensure all of them contain trustable or verified information and powering trust by ensuring the privacy, and safety of our member’s personal data.
Your responsibilities
- Designing, architecting and developing features for the BlaBlaCar application
- Improving the quality of the applicationImproving the tooling and the CI/CD pipeline
- Sharing your knowledge of Android guidelines and best practices
- Participating to code reviews
- Collaborating with non-technical stakeholders to help shape the features that lands in production
Your qualifications
- A first experience (0-3 Years) in building Android apps with a strong engineering culture
- A first approach with MVVM architecture and clean architecture
- A good knowledge of RESTful API, Dagger, Retrofit, Kotlin, Kotlin coroutines, unit and integration tests
- Ability to find the good balance between fast iterations and quality of delivery
- You have good communication skills, and you enjoy sharing & learning from others
- You embrace change, are able to take a step back, and focus on added-value tasks
- You have a results-driven and product-oriented mindset
- Fluency in English
