YOUR ROLE

As part of the Infra Team, you will be the cornerstone of the Infrastructure support team in Shift  your role will be to :

  • Be responsible for the IT Service support departments (Helpdesk and, Production support Level 1 and 2 Teams);
  • Be responsible for making sure the right process and tools are in place and followed;
  • Continue to build the international support team (Singapore, Paris , Boston) and hire new members;
  • Ensure the team can deliver measurable results and ensure the business can operate as smoothly as possible;
  • Measure and manage the performance of the team and team members as well as client satisfaction, identify areas for improvement and define plans to address them;
  • Be the last escalation point of support issues;
  • Be in charge of the organisation and management of the 24/7 monitoring and response, and on-call rotations;
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external clients and Shift users, actively seeking feedback and solutions to improve the quality of service;
  • Collaborate closely with the Technical Program Manager in order prioritize the correct projects, tasks and tickets ;

 

YOUR TOOLKIT

Our main tools are:

  • Microsoft Azure AD, Intune and Autopilot, Office 365 and G Suite;
  • Windows Server, Linux (Centos and Ubuntu), MacOS;
  • Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, Jira Service management;
  • Veeam backup, Crowdstrike, Thycotic;
  • Microsoft Azure, AWS, and VMWare Data Centers;
  • Palo Alto Firewalls, Ruckus WiFi, Cisco Switches, Cloudflare, F5 Load balancers; 


What We Are Looking For

Ideal applicants will have a strong, credible technical background supporting sizable IT infrastructure coupled with leadership / managerial experience of small to mid-size teams(e)
Your background and experience will also cover most of the following :

  • Technical Abilities:
    • Strong knowledge of Windows and Active Directory;
    • Strong knowledge network (TCP/IP, OSI Model);
    • Good knowledge of computer security, anti-virus, patch management;
    • Good knowledge of Azure and cloud services (Office 365, G-Suite, etc);
    • Experience with Jira Service Management, Jira Software and Confluence is beneficial;
    • Good knowledge of ITIL process;
    • Good knowledge of a scripting language;
    • Knowledge of containers or kubernetes is a plus;
  • Soft Skills:
    • You have a minimum of 6 years experience in production support, including 2 years on a managerial role;
    • You are a proactive team member and take pride and ownership of your work;
    • You are dynamic, curious, and eager to learn; always looking to expand your fields of expertise;
    • You can manage a team of juniors and seniors effectively; you know when to act as a boss, coach, or mentor(e)You care about your teammates’ success and personal growth;
    • You can work under pressure and still deliver excellent service to our customers;
    • You are able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism and a courteous demeanor when working with clients and internal teams;
    • You can easily adapt your work to changing priorities, as needed.
