Reporting directly to the CFO, you will pilot all the accounting activities built around business accounting and general accounting to which 4 employees are attached(e)You will supervise the production of financial statements, guarantee the sincerity of the accounts and intervene in internal and external relations.
Manage and contribute to accounting work
- Supervise the day-to-day accounting work, monthly closing of accounts and production of financial statements, consolidation reporting and tax declarations in compliance with internal procedures
- Provide assistance and advice to accounting staff in their work
- Be responsible for the organization and continuity of the activity of the accounting department (in particular general accounting)
- Check the quality of the audit trail of accounting work and the justification of account balances
- Ensure the accounting and tax normative watch
- Master internal procedures, apply them and update them
- Produce short, medium and long term financing plans
- Check the adequacy of the accounting tool and its configuration to the needs of the Finance Department
Support accounting staff
- Supervise accounting staff on a daily basis
- Define and monitor employee objectives, assess and enhance performance, support skills development and participate in employee career management
- Support the change, involve employees in its implementation
Management of internal and external relations
- Be the contact for the Statutory Auditors and internal control (permanent control, internal audit, Inspection);
- Be the contact on accounting matters for other activities of the Finance Department (financial management, IT), and other departments of the company
- Manage the relationship with the tax administration and tax advisors
Profile
- 10+ years of experience including experience on a similar position and in accounting firm or big corporation
- DSCG (higher diploma in accounting and management), a DEC (diploma in accounting expertise), a higher school diploma in business or management, or a CCA master (accounting, control, audit)
- Knowledge of French accounting standards and IFRS
- Perfect mastery of taxation
- Analytical skills, perspective, business orientation and strength of proposal
- Knowledge of computer accounting tools
- Excellent team-building and team-management skills - open-mindedness to understand team members’ motivations, hopes and problems, ability to inspire them and develop their skills and responsibilities, while building trustworthy relationships with them
- Great ability to inspire and coach others, to give constructive feedback, to lead by example and to create an efficient work environment that encourages maximum performance and dedication
- Autonomy and proactivity, combined with a great ability to give visibility and involve others in key decisions
- Excellent communication and writing skills in both English & French
