About the role :
As a key member of the Group finance team, the Group Reporting Accountant will focus on external and internal reporting requirements, business process design, improvement, documentation and rollout, as well as managing the day to day quarterly, half yearly and annual audit requirements.
Key challenges are making the accounts production process more efficient and transparent, working to tight deadlines such as a 3 month public company timetable for audit, managing many groups of internal and external stakeholders in different countries and timezones and coordinating with all Ogury subsidiaries to ensure deadlines are met and that locally prepared numbers are accurate, in line with group expectations, as well as managing multiple jurisdictional accounting regulations.
What you will be doing
- Recording transactions
- Business Process Contributor for the Record to Report (R2R) process – improving the way we work by re- designing processes, creating guides, introducing automation and integration.
- Assisting the other members of the Group team with group wide implementation of standard practices (ex(e)Consistent recognition of programmatic revenue), working with local Finance Managers to ensure -that practices are being followed once implemented.
- Group Close/Consolidate
- Intercompany process – recording, eliminations and reconciliations, Running Foreign Exchange revaluations
- Assist with group close & consolidation in USD on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Financial statements production – Annual and Interim
- Management of day to day requirements of annual and interim audits; managing the PBC list and organizing sample responses from Ogury entities
- Communicate audit and technical requirements to local finance managers
- Preparation of annual reports, accounts and supporting notes including but not limited to: P&L, balance sheet, cashflow statement, OCI, SOCE, fixed and intangible assets, defined benefit liability, leases, receivables, payables, share capital.
- Management reporting
- Review of monthly Group management accounts and checking for any material misstatements
- Sign off of entity management accounts and various reconciliations following local financial controller sign off
