CONTEXT OF THE ROLE

We are looking for an Internal Controls Manager- Compliance to join our team in Paris to manage the Group’s compliance assurance and internal control program and to act as responsible for periodic control in France(e)This role will partner with legal, sales and product teams in London, New York, Singapore and the rest of the world.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on an international stage, alongside household names, and join a rapidly growing FinTech company making a real impact on the lives of people in developed and emerging markets alike.

The role will report to the Head of Compliance, which is member of the Board of Director, offering a direct access to the firm's senior management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently lead and improve the monitoring and testing program, including development and management of the monitoring and testing team, which will grow necessarily as the business scales in size and complexity
  • Centralise and coordinate remediation of regulatory and external audit monitoring and testing findings globally
  • Develop and improve internal reporting of compliance management information
  • Administer the compliance controls repository (e.g., TM rules, policy and procedures, incoming settlement verification)
  • Lead ad-hoc compliance projects, such as, thematic controls and other ad-hoc projects

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated expertise in AML/CTF, governance, risk, and regulatory compliance in a financially regulated company
  • Professional compliance qualification from an internationally recognised body (e.g(e)ICA, ACAMS etc)
  • 5+ years’ experience managing compliance, internal control and/or assurance programs for a regulated financial institution) in France
  • Experience in working within a geographically diverse organisation working with international counterparts
  • Knowledge and understanding of Financial Compliance regulations outside of Europe
  • Clear written and verbal communicator in French & English, with experience of formal business communications in both languages
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
  • Sense of urgency/ability to work well under pressure, different priorities and tight deadlines
  • Previous experience within the Payments/E-Money industry is strongly preferred
