Engineering Strategy Manager

As the world leader in alternative animal proteins, Innovafeed contributes to the construction of a sustainable food system by developing a pioneering and innovative industry: the breeding and processing of insects (Hermetia Illucens fly).

- Dealing with global protein deficit by strengthening our food systems

- To have a positive overall environmental impact based on circular economy and inspired by natural food chains;

- To generate territorial economic dynamism : in order to feed and raise our larvaes, we are co-located with agro-industrial partners that provide us with co-products and low footprint energy.

 

Incorporated in 2016, Innovafeed manufactures and sells 3 different insect-based products:

· Insect protein for a more sustainable and qualitative aquaculture, especially for feeding salmon and trout 🐟

· Insect oil for feeding animals (like pig and poultry), in the context of sustainable farming respectful of animal welfare 🐤 

·  Insect feces used as an effective organic fertilizer 🌱

You will report directly to the VP Engineering.  

 

As part of this growing team, you will help shape and implement the team's development strategy in order to strengthen its resilience and prepare it to take on various large projects in multiple geographies. 

 

You will be responsible for driving the team's roadmap: 

 

- Identify, anticipate and articulate the transversal needs of the team in terms of organization, capability building, know-how capitalization , ways of working,, new tools and communication

- Build the strategic roadmap  and mobilize the different stakeholder to ensure the action plan delivery

- Collect and deploy best practices, new tools or approaches within the department whenever relevant

- Preferably, you have an engineering background and a first work experience.

- You are an accomplished & multi-dimensional professional with innovative strategic thinking.

- Dynamic and proactive, you are able to structure projects involving multiple stakeholders 

- You have strong listening and synthetizing skills. 

- You enjoy interacting with various teams (R&D, Performance, Engineering, Operations, etc.) in order to understand the success factors of their businesses(e)You are organized, rigorous and are comfortable formalizing deliverables. 

- You seek to propose and can implement innovative solutions (e.g(e)creation of a digital & intuitive knowledge management system). 

- You are able to navigate effectively in an environment with multiple contacts and interact with ease with all levels of the company.

- You are fluent in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

- You are industry and tech strategy sensitive.

 

This position is particularly suited for someone willing to acquire a transversal view of our business and exposure to different seniority levels
