We are looking for an Engineering Manager (m/f) for our R&D team based in Suresnes(e)
Talend Pipeline Designer is a modern flexible integration tool you can use to process data at scale in an easy yet powerful manner.
Pipeline Designer is the new data integration Cloud application developed at Talend(e)It brings a rich Web application where users can interactively design, manage and run their data integration pipelines at scale(e)Pipeline execution is managed by the next generation Talend runtime, leveraging Apache Beam, Apache Spark and Talend components kit providing a full Cloud / on-premise hybrid solution(e)Pipeline Designer frontend is developed React, Redux (saga), Typescript, with a backend based on Java technologies and deployed using Docker, Kubernetes and modern CI / CD technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage hierarchically and lead technically a 2 pizzas team, mixing frontend and backend engineers
- Led delivery on several impactful customer facing initiatives such as developing new complex, user experience driven products from concept to launch, or maintaining/making evolve existing products.
- Partnered across the Engineering organization along with Product Management to empower teams to consistently deliver at a high level of impact by establishing team objectives for product roadmap driven projects.
- Influenced new product and feature technical architecture design (backend and frontend) while defining a long-term technical strategy aligned with industry best practices.
- Actively coached and inspired your team with timely and actionable feedback synthesized from peer feedback.
- Cultivated a working environment to support your team's professional and technical expertise.
- Be accountable for team performance and for delivering the technical and functional product roadmaps
- Contributed to hiring and growing the team by recruiting engineers and improving our hiring processes.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 10 years of proven experience in software engineering roles
- At least 1 experience in a team management role
- Good knowledge in Java (or Scala) backend development (SpringBoot/Quarkus/Play2, Akka, ...)
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Cloud modern technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Flux, ...)
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with Cloud modern architectures (Microservices, Asynchronous development, scalability, security, multi-tenancy, data privacy, ...)
- Strong problem solving capabilities
- Solid leadership and communication capabilities such ability to argue, give constructive criticism, take decisions...
- Good English level (written and spoken)
- Knowledge in frontend development (JavaScript/React, HTML, CSS, ...)
