About the position
An engineering lead has overall ownership on the performance of multiple engineering teams(e)He/she will focus on improving team and individual performance(e)We will look at you to make sure your teams are set up for success and have everything needed to excel in building the products our users expect from us, aligned with the business goals.
Being an engineering lead is not about being the smartest or most experienced member of the team(e)You’re not the team’s mobile expert or go-to for complex offline capability strategies(e)It’s your job to tackle challenges by thoughtfully leading collaborative efforts based on everyone’s strengths, describing the roadmap and driving the objectives of your teams.
As an Engineering Lead at Showpad you should be able to communicate well within your teams, across teams and towards senior management.
Key responsibilities as an Engineering lead at Showpad
Skills and Qualifications we are looking for
The candidate has at least 3 years of experience in leading software engineering teams.
The candidate has a proven record of managing multiple critical software projects(e)You live the process(e)Let’s face it, delivering software in teams is a tough job. You know that you can’t be successful without bringing order to chaos. SCRUM, issue tracking and continuous integration are all second nature to you.
The candidate is able to distil the key success criteria for projects and programs by challenging the stakeholders(e)He/she approaches all negotiations with an open and collaborative mind.
You have strong computer science fundamentals(e)You are an expert in multiple technologies(e)You will need to be familiar with data engineering, data science and cloud technologies (preferably AWS based technologies)
The candidate is an excellent communicator(e)He/she can effectively work with engineers but at the same time collaborate with product managers and salespeople.
