The position
Sunday is seeking a Director of Strategic Finance to join our growing Finance team(e)As a member of the team, you will partner with the CFO and work closely with department heads, the executive team, and the Board on financial planning, corporate strategy, fundraising, investor relations, and corporate development activities(e)For this role, you will help drive evaluation of key business initiatives, analyze business performance, present strategic recommendations to management, prepare investor-facing and capital-raising materials, and continually improve financial tracking, reporting, and forecasting(e)Finally, you will play a critical role in driving the continued growth of the company and will be responsible for identifying and leading M&A activity.
This opportunity can be based in the U.S(e)(preferably NYC or Atlanta) or in Europe (preferably Paris or London)(e)The role reports to the CFO.
Required experience & responsibilities
- 2-3 years of work experience at a top firm in investment banking, transaction services, private equity, or venture capital; plus 2-3 years of experience in FP&A, business development or strategic finance at another high-growth technology company
- Extensive familiarity with corporate finance concepts, financial modeling, and KPI tracking
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Proficiency in building and handling financial models and complicated data sets
- Sound business judgment and ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to pull up from the details to drive insights and business recommendations
- Proactive and self-motivated to solve problems; comfortable with a high degree of responsibility and handling complex questions
- M&A and/or capital-raising experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with payment processing and/or FinTech industry a plus
