Your Mission
Nowadays, content is a key element in delivering an exceptional user experience and it plays a central role in the entire product development process(e)We are looking for a Content Strategy Lead to manage and mentor a team of 2 Content Designers and to take it to the next level: from focusing on micro copy for in product UX to expanding the mission to also include outside-of-product content for Go-To Market assets (landing page, email, fullscreen…)(e)

Our vision for this role is an entrepreneurial minded and detail oriented professional who will ensure that we have the best and clearest end-to-end user experience(e)You will be responsible for BlaBlaCar’s content strategy and voice and for advocating them with the various stakeholders and partners in the company.

The role is therefore threefold: defining and executing a high level content strategy, leading the team and delivering some projects directly. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor two Content Designers and create a stimulating environment to help them thrive and grow.
  •  Collaborate with other teams (Product Design, Product Marketing, Brand, Localization, etc.) to define our content strategy at the highest level and the narratives of our product.  Develop and nurture those key relationships. 
  • Evangelize for the Content Strategy practice, team and process: Improve and maintain the content strategy process and define where Content Strategy touchpoints are paramount to the overall design and product marketing success.
  • Strive for higher UX quality by maintaining and contributing to our content guidelines and training stakeholders to learn them(e)Everything will be about creating a consistent and highly relevant end-to-end user experience. 

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a Content Designer, UX Writer or Content Strategist, working on product content with user needs and problems at the heart of your craft.
  • A strong understanding of UX and content principles and can guide others to the correct use of words in a product(e)You also enjoy writing content for go-to market assets such as landing pages or emails.
  • Solid leadership skills and experience managing a team or mentoring teammates and enjoy helping others grow.
  • Ability to pitch and convince colleagues of the value and importance of exceptional content and can explain content choices and processes clearly.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written, ideally native).
  • Nice to have: Previous experience setting up content design processes, guidelines and documentation(e)Experience creating content that will be localized into multiple languages.
