The Assistant Director is part of the creative team responsible for the strategy, conception, design, production, integration and operations of Moment Factory projects(e)He assists the Creative Directors (DCs) and Multimedia Directors (MDs) in maintaining the artistic vision of the project throughout all the departments involved.

The Assistant Director must be proactive, motivated, and capable of anticipating and adapting to the unique needs of the DCs and MDs(e)He is organized, rigorous and professional, as well as capable of working in a flexible environment(e)He has the ability to multitask, manage pressure effectively and take initiative.

By joining the Montreal studio, you will be working alongside 400 employees of ten different nationalities in an open-concept, organic, colourful, and human space(e)The studio occupies 60,000 square feet, over two floors of a historical printing house in Mile-Ex(e)It all started here, in what was once the multicultural industrial centre of the city and has become the turntable of artificial intelligence in Montreal.

- Participate in the creative process and support DCs and MDs in managing the creative needs required by the project team;

- Collaborate in the creation of concepts and presentations, while ensuring that quality standards are being met;

- Conduct artistic research to collect inspirations and references based on visual, scenographic, cultural and historical components; participate in monitoring innovative and technological developments;

- Participate in the development of the projects creative vision behind projects by producing concise documentation for briefs, as well as any other kind of creative material such as mood boards, video edits and animatics;

- Support Directors in creative development through each phase of a project;

- Coordinate creative resources up on the Director’s request;

- Maintain knowledge sharing amongst creative resources by updating Moment Factory’s projects documenting, archiving and improving internal processes and methodologies;

- Participate in improving processes in place; design and communicate new management tools to the different departments;

- Be responsible for any other task or responsibility related to this role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS 

- College diploma in design, multimedia, television or film production or in any other related field;

- Proficiency in French and English, spoken and written;

- Proficiency in full MS Office suite, or similar;

- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere, Keynote.

- Advanced communication skills;

- Advanced organizational skills;

- Ability to work under pressure, on various projects at the same time;

- Comfortable with performing clerical and/or administrative tasks;

- Independent, team player, capable of prioritizing and reliable;

- Curiosity and interest in current practices in the design, entertainment, multimedia and post-production industries;

- Strong self-learning abilities.
